How much can the stock gear box hold? I've seen pretty heavily modified xr6T in magazines that still use the stock transmission or in extreme cases get a cooler for the automatics.

hey mate.. the t5 tin the 6 turbo.. they say the cant go more then about 240rwkw.. the t56 6 speed manual can hold ALOT more power.. the say 350rwkw for a 6 speed would be fine with a good clutch and so on.. the autos they say are fine.. not a problem with power they match the 6 speed manual maybe a little less maybe a little more.. but the only box is the t5 that has problems over 240rwkw

hmmm, thats interesting. Have you considered getting the t56 yourself? or are you auto, I really wan't to drive a manual BA to see how it goes but every1 is auto.

i got the t5 manual mate and yes i REALLY want a t56 6 speed but its like 9 grand from ford and 2nd hand cant find any as of yet. where you from mate.. im in melbourne you could give mine a drive if you wanted maybe.. haha
