in the book 5.0l dyno tests i think they came up pretty sim from memory i think gt40 which tyey said very similar power wise with cobra which is cast version produced the most torque but ithink edelbrock performer flowed a bit better and thwy reckon had a bit more top end in reserve, there are 3 diff edelbrocks to suit different RPM ranges you want to run ,i would go edelbrock because you can remove plenum cover etc if you want to port out or whatever

Are you talking about the edelbrock performer rpm II? I've read nothing but good things about this manifold, flows a bit more than the cobra.
The cobra has inbuilt EGR which is a bonus though What heads are you matching these with eventually? |

I'd go the Trickflow Street in all the tests I have read it produced a wider powerband than the performer and out flows it also. On top of that you can get them for about $900 vs the $1200+ for the performer.
The performer rpm however in tests showed to be better than the TFS Track heat Then again at the end of the day it depends on your combo doesnt it ? What cam are you running etc etc etc ? |
