Unless the panels on your car are badly damaged just get them repaired, new panels arnt dead straight anyway so why waste all that money.

when you take a car to a spraypainters to get painted, most places will repair minor dings and dents anyway so not to make there work look s**t and give the business a bad name.

yea but i like to know that there not just dodged up, i would like the thought of my panels beeing new

an not little things that will end up backfireing somehow, like the spot welds on the front doors they have been riped away from the doors in a bit, i dont know what everyone elses doors are like but both of my ed's have the same propblem in that way.

Rear quarters?
You realise they have to be cut out and re-welded back in, and theres no guarantee it will all line up properly. And they wont be spot welded like in the factory.

You'll be lucky to find a panel beater who will do that to a car without any normal unrepairable damage on it, and even if they do you're talking thousands of dollars.

As for the spot welds in the door, you can get them drilled out and re-welded, grinded down and repainted and you'll never know the difference. And its not dodgy by anymeans.

But Ford should still have all the panels available, but by the time you've bought them and got someone to install it all and paint, you're probably looking at $15-20k.

hahaha well dont you just know what ya on about, are you a panel beater? you sound like it :) an yea i new about the rear quarters having to be rewelded but i would think they would match up nicely, but after that i dont think i want all new panels anymore 15 grand is abit much for now :( goin to see a panel beater on monday.

i can cut some costs of the painting an panel beating threw a guy i know who is a panel beater/painter so ill just get him to do it all after hours for some cash.

Im not a panel beater, but I have been a mechanic and done welding.

You'd be surprise on what a good panel beater can do with door dings and small dents. A bit of rapid heating and cooling can usually pop them out. A car restorer would always rather fix the original panels on a car than replace them. Unless they are rusted out or bent/buckled beyond repair, you are always better off with what you've got.

I had mine pushed in HARD CORE when a b**ch in her MAGNA reversed straight into me & one panel beater wanted to replace the panel where as my regular panel beater said they coul push it out & I took that opton as I have heard stories in the past about how HARD it is & time consuming to do the replacement panel job.

When you weld in new panels, they can distort and stretch from the heat, Definately better off to repair if theyre not rusty!
