my au s1 futura developed a strange problem, my wife tried to start it and it would light up the dash lights but wouldn't crank so i checked the usual starter motor and inhibiter switch no problem there so i went to pop the boot to get a tool and had no electrics to the boot and no electrics to the power windows so i checked all fuses and relays that i could see and all ok , i was then standing back scratching my head i heard a noise similar to a fuel pump sound (but wasn't that) and my electrics returned and the car started ???? its done this twice . could it be the transponder in the key or is there another acc relay somewhere i cant see because it seems to take out all acc then return them after some time, very weirdstuff ,,,thanks in advance ,ken

thanks for reply, no the key wasn't on , actually the second time the keys were in my pocket 20 feet from the car and the doors were closed when i heard the noise ,, so i took the keys out of my pocket and pressed the door lock button on my keypad and it worked , i then walked to the car and started it , i had the keys out of the car in my pocket for about 10 to 15 mins , as i said its a weird one ,thanks ken

mate it'd have to be an accessories relay somewhere. Maybe even a f**k BEM? Not sure how it all happens with a AU

body electronics module. It pretty much runs the body electrical system. Could also be called BCM body control module

That sounds more like a dodgy Earth connection on the battery cable, Check the clamp for corrosion and make sure the connection to the body is good and solid. :D
