hey guys..just been reading threw the tread. imm looking at throwing a new motor in my eb II at the moment. outa curiosity whats a good price for a rebuilt motor? going to be doing a t5 conversion the same time i do the motor.was also thinking of picking up a secondhand el motor instead of getting a eb one rebuilt. ne1 haveneideason what wouldbe the best way to go ??
motor i have in atm has had the head off and shaved a few thou with a tickford cam in. paceys with high flow cat from a te50 with 2 1/2 zorst modified intake with pod on . ditched the clutch fan for some thermos. only prob is shes had a hardlife now and shes knocking aswell as blowing a bit of smoke and me oil presure guage has had somefunny readings lately. jumping alot and staying in the red.. lol sorry bout steeling ya thread ne help would be great ppl.. |

to raise the rev limmit past about 6200rpm will need alot of money spent on the bottom end. if yo keep a stock bottom end aim for peak power to be made around 5800rpm, that give you a bit past the peak rpm to play with. it's going to come down to the head and cam you use |

307 thousand kinda looking for the cheapest option.. wouldnt mind rebuilding a motor and wacking a snail on th side but thats future plans prob not this car tho. |
