Howdy

Have decided to run the xe on straight gas due to the prices of premuim

Was wondering if anyone know if they can mount the tank underneath the car where the fuel tank is or do they just use the boot mounted tank

Interested to hear this one too. Im going to run my XB 351 on straight gas too, (as soon as I can find a straight gas carby, not too dear..lol)
Been told performance will be same or maybe even a slight improvement. As long as its gas only.

I don't think you will have the ground clearance fit any decent size tank underneath it, have a look at a dedicated LPG AU/BA sedan, the tank they use required the floor to be raise, maybe you could look at something like this?

Went to auzgas today

They use the boot mounted tank - the remove everything to do with petrol and also - they mount the converter on the intake manifold behind thed gas carby

had a look around on the internet for those carbys waggin - do you have a link to that site at all?

By the way with my supplying the gas tank and bracket they can straight gas it for $1600

ring joe at crescent, he has the technocarbs in stock i believe, they are a great carby, can change the venturies from 420cfm up to 600 odd cfm. or could be even bigger, im not sure.

I run a straight gas set up on my XC, 302Clevo

I've got a 75L tank mounted behind the rear seat atm, but i also had a custom drop tank made to replace the petrol tank. I'll be looking to put another 2 X 20L tanks in that space sooner or later.

Under the bonnet, ive put in a Edlebrock 351 Torquer single plane manifold.
Made a heaps of difference :)

I replaced my standard 4 barrel carbie with a GRA Single Throttle Body Carbie.

For your application, you'd be better off with a Twin TB Carbie.

As for performance difference, im still waiting to get it Dyno'd to see.
I also have a bit of fine tuning to do before i go for a power run :)
