so i'd be looking for a new "ignition coil" right?
and also.. is there a possibility i might have flooded the engine with petrol with my several failed attempts at starting it? if so is there anything i hav to do to 'clear' the engine? |

As said, check coil also check condition of rotor inside distributor and dissy cap. If you get a good spark out of coil but not out of distributor then its a good chance the cap and/or rotor needs replacing.

Hold ya foot flat to the floor when you try and start it, if itdoesnt start the first time the normal way...
Petrol should have evaporated by the time you replace your coil anyway
