Try searching, there have been a thousand posts on this in the last few weeks...
Personally, I just gave the plastic a good clean then painted straight onto it with cheap s**t spray paint from Supercheap....its still there 6 months later... |

I want it to look a little bit like the outside of my car. the colour with a glossy finish on it, nothing too smooth.

when spraying any bare plastic , u need to spray sum plastic primer first , so the paint has something to stick too

you dont need primer...it will help but I didn't use it and the paint is still as good as when I put it on.

If you want it to match the color of your car make sure you know the name or paint code of your car paint and just use touch up paint from supercheap. Thats what i did. Mine matches perfectly.
Oh and i didn't use primer either, i wouldn't say you need it.
