Does anyone know whats involved in getting my phone( samsung d600) hooked to the system that came std on au fairlanes?? ie when phone rings you can answer using radio buttons on wheel and radio mutes automatically and you can talk hands free through it also. Any help would be great.

you can get car kit that hook up to the stereo and it mute the radio when the phone is used BUT im sure you cant do that unless you get a BA but even then im still unsure if you can do it. I worked at a wrecker and there was no place to the phone imput... If its a bluetooth phone and you dont care about charging then i recommend a Motorola HF850. About $150 from eBay.

yeah - use a bluetooth kit, less installing and VERY neat to use.
it won't work from your steering wheel buttons though unless you do some custom wiring.
it has a small wired controller which controls volume, voice dial and answer/hangup.

the car kit needs 4 wires connected, power, ground, accessory, mute.

all brands pretty much the same - except ericsson can "pair" with up to 5 phones. costs more though.
