i'm looking at getting a full service done real soon, just wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to where to get it done?

well i dont live in ur area, and u probably got ur hopes up when u got this reply but i can tell you one thing that u would already know...

dont take it to the ford dealership for a service

consider doing it all your self. if it is just basic service stuff there is plenty of info on here to tell you how to do it all.
you can save yourself alot of money by changing your own oil and filter. then fuel and air filters and spark plugs/leads are just as easy.

i think the last service i did cost me about 50 dollars because i bought some axle stands. up until now i have used a hoist.

might be hard to answer as most ppl here (I presume) do their own services.

Have you concidered tackling it yourself?
A complete service inc. transmission could cost $800+ in a retail outlet

But a good old'e home service should fetch around $100 to do a basic oil change, all filters, plugs, hell add another $60 and change the leads and dizzy cap & rotor!

but to answer your question.....

I'd recommend K-Mart as they're a large company... they seem to have mature age workers...

The scarey part is... if you take it somewhere they might find heaps wrong like shockers leaking... exhaust etc. but then again.. its better to be safe than sorry!

when i do service...
minor
oil
oil filter
air filter
check fluid levels
-brake
-coolant
-p/s
-washer bottle

When its a bit bigger i also check
brakepads and disks
shockers for leaks
p/s rack for leaks
fan belt for cracks
change plugs n leads
dizzy cap and rotor
clean that idler thing on the manifold (cant remember the name its too late)

And press the reset button for 10 sec till that little spanner goes away
