is the ef gli bumper the same as the xr bumper the only difference being that the xr bumper has that lip on the bottom. Can you buy the lip and just attach it to the gli bumper or do you have to buy the whole new front bumper and also is it the same for the side skirts and rear bar

The XR is a skirt kit, you just attach to your existing front and rear bar, and the side skirts sit on just under the door sills, screwed in from either end.
Hope this helps, |

Te bottom half of the GLi front bar is the same as the XR.
The skirt is a seperate atatchment which will fit GLi/Futura/XR. Maybe Fairmont but not 100% sure. |

Why was it difficult? They should go straight on, as long as they're a decent product. Cheers, Bob

as Bob Hall said, it can be done as a back yard job, we did one (front bar) in about an hour, just making sure we put the holes in the right place.
fairly easy overall

Cheers, Bob I bought it off you Bob :p. I dunno, i couldn't get the rear bar mounted properly, had fairly large gaps whichever way i fitted it. However I stupidly had it painted first, so it's my problem :p. |

Did you read and follow the fitting instructions? f you had big gaps, it sounds like you didn't take the bar off the car for fitting.

I just couldn't get it to look right. Let me just say to anyone reading this I am not slagging off the kit! It looks great! I just can't get the rear bar right, probably my own fault. |
