sometime in the next few days im getting an AU Momo steering wheel to dump into my EL Futura, theres only one small problem....

i don't know what im doing hahaha...

would anyone be able to give me a list of tools i'll need, and step by step instructions on how to do it (inclusive of the airbag swapover(using the existing one)...or if someone else has already done a write up on it, could they point me in the right direction.

it's probably easy enough, but im a a*** when it comes to this kinda thing.

any help would be most appreciated.

Ok, first of all, you need to disconnect your car battery. Then take out the small round caps and undo the bolts either side. Pull out the airbag assembly just a little and unclip the wiring connectors for the horn.

A TX 50 torx screw is needed to undo the steering wheel retaining bolt on the steering shaft. Hold the top and bottom of the steering wheel and rock it back and fourth, and move your hands around the steering wheel at the same time.

Undo the screws that hold the backing plate of the steering wheel and screw it onto your new steering wheel rim.

Then slip it onto your steering shaft, ensure your threads are clean, reconnect your airbag and do the bolts up.

Last of all, leave the key in the "ACC" position for half an hour to allow your computer to reset.

This should take you around 45 minutes to one hour all up - have fun, and show us some before and after shots (if you can).

I had to get a steering wheel puller and get it taken off ... took over a hour to remove the bastard.

Ask Joe at Crescent ... he was swearing his head off at the stupid thing ... LOL

did exactly the same last weekend. dont bother with the pulling, hitting, rocking s**t. you'll drive yourself nuts. just go find a wheel puller from someone to borrow. or make one.

I recently did the steering wheel changeover on my NF - looks much better - I didn't go to sports, just a better leather one - now just to hock off the worn one........
