Check out the cruise doc - it has detailed testing procedures. http://www.fordmods.com/forums/documents.php?doc=11

Does anyone know if is there a way to test the module itself? By disconnecting it and sending a current to it or anything? As im pretty sure the module is the problem but if there is a way to check it I'd like to try...

And if there isn't, mickysacca i'll take your module off your hands...

Hey mine does the same thing, makes the click noise but doesn't engage. So this is commonly the module then? Where exactly is this thing and could I replace it myself?

I had a similar problem as dasmaq - two repaired wires in cruise module under bonnet was my problem. Never happened again.
