Fault codes???????? help wanted? plz

when i did a test today i got the same code coming up and cant clear it

ok to clear it up i have a ef xr6 ecu in a EF gli

code (786) perfomance indicator light fault

would this have any thing to do with not having the xr cluster in???

any help would be gr8

Should mean the Economy indicator globe is blown or possibly the switch is unplugged.

switch works fine

in the book it says'' (pil output check fail) (preformance indicator light output is fault. can be caused by open ciruit'or shorts to b+or ground
