hey guys,
i have been offered a crow cam and a head off an eb i believe(3.9L). the cam has got 207D aswell as 2549. i have looked on the crow cam website and looked up these part numbers but there is 2 cams there with the 2549 part number but with 222 and 223 infront of it. the 2222549 cam is suited for EA-ED and the 2232549 is suited to EF-EL. how can i tell which cam i have got? im trying to put it into an xhII xr6. and also....would it b worth putting the eb head on as it has been ported and had bigger valves put in? or wont it fit? any feedback would be great.

thanks bazzo

call up crow & confirm the part number. I think theres a misprint on their website.

Marty at Crow is another good bloke.

According to him, what you have is more than likely a 2222549.

Here's his info on how to check...

The base circle diameter on a E-series cam (up to the pre-Hybrid EL) is 2.096".

If it's suitable for a Hybrid EL and onwards into the AU models, the base circle diameter is 1.910".

It's that simple.
