i want to fit a tow bar to my el fairmont and would like to know how to take off the rear bar to fit the tow bar.tow bar is a gen ford 1600kg

take your boot lining out, there are two rubber plugs on each side, take those out, underneath the plugs are bolts.
Remove the 4 bolts (one in each hole), and remove the bolts in the wheel arch.
Then just pull it off.

There should also be a plate that is riveted to the body, just to the left of the tailpipe cutout. Drill the rivets out but be sure to remove the spare wheel first!

And be very careful not to drop thse 4 bolts, either on removal or replacement. If they fall, they disappear into a cavern!!
