Guys ive searched and searched and cannot find a single mention of the standard EF Front speaker screws.
Please can someone advise/confirm/disagree and or tell me what to do? After taking my door trim off the other day i found that the standard speaker had some weird (male star screw) holding the speaker in?? is this normal? i dont have a bit for it so will plyers be enough to remove it? Any help would be great.. thanks in advance |

they're just torx head security screws, just go down to your local bunnings/mitre 10/home hardware and buy a security/tamperproof driver bit set, they're about $10

An extra small socket will work (4mm i think) they are male so a torx bit wont work.

i put new speakers in and the passenger side was destorting so i am like s**t these are new. Took the trim off just to see that one of the plastic clips that hold the speaker covering on was touching the rubber seal around the speaker. So i trimmed it and put it back on and its all good.
