I have a 2.5 inch system currently on my car was wondering if i put in another 2.5 inch pipe will that free turbo backpressure or will i have to upgrade to a 3"???

you means twin 2.5s???
if so, then remember the cross section of twin 2.25's is equivalent to nearly 3.5inches. 3in has less flow ability than twin 2.25's... so i imagine twin 2.5s would flow really well

just fired up the calculator, it tells me that cross section of twin 2.5s is bigger than single 3.5in
63cm2 vs 61cm2

I was gonna do this to mine... grab another 2.5in cheapo lukey cat back and mount it next to the existing lukey pipe... would be a cheap alternative to changing to a whole new 3.5in system, and more flow to boot
