I used Illustrator to do all the Vector Graphics (text, dial markings and outlines) and Photoshop for all the image manipulation. They were then compiled in Illustrator and saved as pdf files that can be edited.

Sorry about the white circles. it wasn't untill I put it on the site that I noticed I did a final undo and it put the circles back, but in a stupid place.
Consider it fixed. I'll mail it again now.

Cheers Huggy

When you print, you can go to print preview instead of just print. Then print from there.
before you print there should be a checkbox that says fit to page. Uncheck this box and the dials will go to full size and you'll only see half of it. This image is too big to fit a normal A4 page, it was done as an A3.
You'll have to move it around with your mouse to get the left half visible and then click print, then go back to print preview and move it around again to print the right side.

Hope this helps

i whacked a tacho together tonight, really simple simon ones. Just to make them look really understated.

The top is all white marking basically factory, but with a different font and red... well... redlines. And a ford badge in the middle of the tacho itself

Underneath that though, there is a mask with blue markings and a yellow line, so that when the lights are turned on, they willl be all pretty couloured!! :P

I need to lighten up the blue a bit as it doesnt work in front of a lamp, but yellow and red works sweet.

Ill try a speedo tommorow night, same but with a "falcon" in the middle rather than ford.

Will post pics then too

On a related topic, does any one know how to get the needles from white or orange to red? Is there a special paint you use?

the way i got mine done (the polar bears) was i pm'd Tbag and asked him if he could do them for me, he was very polite and made them to better then i expected.

im pretty sure that if you ask him nicely he will make them for you (providing he has enough spare time)

Just thought id bump this back up the top :)

A Quick question when printing the dials how do u print them, on 2 pages double sided or on 4 sep sheets then align them??? Also i have dials done by tbag which are a bit different to the original scans done by data_mine ne1 know if this will make any difference or will i have to get the original scans changed too??? (ie: the dashes n numbers are different)

The ones I have are from an EF, the font is different from ELs, and they have ticks every 5KM/h and 100RPM instead of 10KM/H and 250RPM in an EL. I was happy to have the extra resolution on my dials, and the font I didn't initially notice until I pulled my EL ones out.

I print mine double sided, I found the light has trouble getting through two sheets of paper.
