Just got a smartlock keypad and did the reset thing. All works ok except that the drivers side door does not lock. I have to use the key still. Is this normal???. If not what could the problem be.

When you get in the car and push the snippet button on the driver's door, do all the doors lock, if not, the central locking motor in the driver's door could be dead or the wiring is not working.

Yes, if I push the snippet button down all the doors lock. Its only when I use the keypad that the drivers door does not lock.

As mentioned, Couple of possibilities here (well 3 actually):
1. The drivers front actuator motor is cactus, 2. The drivers front actuator is not getting 12v (yellow wire), 3. Or is not earthed (black wire). I'll guess also that if you press the door lock dash switch, all doors except the drivers front will operate.

Ok, I'II try and explain it again. When the keypad button is pushed,
all doors lock except the drivers door. The drivers door button goes up and down as if it is locked or unlocked. But alas, the door is not locked at all. It just appears that it is locked. The dash button when pushed locks all door except the drivers door. The only way to lock this door is by key. Could it still be actuator ?? |

Remove the snipper button from the drivers door - test it again and tell us what you get.

Removed the snipper button from the door. The plastic rod that the button is attached to moves up and down when the keypad is pressed.

Looks like an actuator change is in order.

Doubt it. As a final check you can remove the actuator rod from the actuator, close the door and operate the locking from the keyfob or dash switch. If the actuator cycles then I'd say it's cactus.
