Your ED (as it has ABS) will have all the wiring necessary for cruise.

You will need:

Underbonnet:
Cruise actuator
Vac pump.
Vac lines

In cabin:
Steering wheel with switches.
Brake switch
computer.

The cruise actuator goes on the outside of the brake booster (three nuts) and the Vac pump behind the washer bottle (three bolts). Plug them in before bolting them up and run your vac lines as well.

The loom for the computer is under the centre console and the computer actually screws to the underside of the console.

The steering wheel, funnily enough, attaches to the steering column and the brake switch attaches to the brake part of the pedal box and is really easy once you have a look. Make sure you connect your vac line here, as any leak or end not attached will cause your cruise to not work!

What if the GLI does not have abs loom?

You will need to add the cruise control loom to the body loom. Not too hard, no need to cut and solder, just trace the correct wires to the front right connector and swap them over taking note of thier locations in the donor (cruise equipped) loom. A wrecker should almost give you the body loom from a cruise equipped fairlane or fairmont or similar.

All the rest of the wiring should be there!
