I started my car without the airbag plugged in and now the warning light is illuminated. How do I clear it?
I read the airbag doco on this site but it is missing the picture showing which pin needs connecting to clear the airbag controller memory. Can anyone enlighten me please? Cheers |

Need to take it to Ford for an EL. That trick only works on EF series 1.
Thats the expensive way, or the cheap and long winded way is to turn your key off and on 200 times... Not engine start, just accessories. It only keeps the warning for 200 key cycles.. I did 10 or 20 keycycles a day, everytime I got into the car, and it was gone within 2 weeks. |

I found it was the fourth pin on the top row and the third pin on the bottom row. Worked a treat |

I remember I tried that on my car when I had the light come up, and it didnt work. I read in the manual that the airbag and abs shared the same pins on EL's and you needed the Ford NGS to wipe the memory. I musta done something wrong then. |
