Not really 'Suspension, Brake and Driveline', so I thought I would post here:

My new AU wagon (standard forte wheels with caps) are running Khumos 205/60/15 - just standard things, & I have noticed, in particular above 60, quite obvious at 80 most of the time, that road noise is pretty loud - are AU's known for it, or is it likely that its the Khumos at fault?

Just waiting for someone selling BA XR wheels with good tyres at a bargain price - & I mean bargain - don't want the cheap wagon to end up expensive....or I might settle for AU XR6's which no doubt will be easier to find at a bargain price.....

Doesn't seem to be any scrubbing, and I think noise seems more from the front.

Hi mate,
Just been in for a checkup and service, checked the brakes, surely he would have checked the wheel bearings.....
Definately sounds like its through the tyres - just wondering if its an issue with AU sound deadening (or lack of) or if its likely to be resolved with different tyres.

It could be the wheel bearings and the rear wheel bearing seal, if it is worn away it will make noise
