I've got the Rhino Smartlock upgrade in my EL and am impressed with it. It has two extra immobilisation circuits, the usual shock, current, doors, boot, bonnet protection. There are a number of useful programmable features, like sentry lighting, chirp on/off, arm delay time 5 or 40 seconds, and more I can't remember. If you want to know them, I can get the book out the shed, too lazy now ;)
A couple of features I really like is you can pop the boot with your remote and the alarm disables that sector, while you have it open. Close the boot and it gives a chirp and fully arms again. If you try to arm it with a sector not ready (door ajar, boot not latched etc) it chirps three times and gives you 40 seconds to fix things, if you do it fully arms, if not it arms and isolates that sector.
If its been triggered, when you disarm it gives two chirps (disarm is normally silent) and then when you turn the key to ignition the LED flashes 1 to 8 times to tell you what sector was tripped.
Also, the chirp is unobtrusive, not wanky and loud.
