what is changed would i feel if i have my diff ratio changed to 3.45 or 3.7 and really what does this all mean? what is the difference also?

Effectively you would be lowering the gearing of the final drive. Would give you better acceleration, lower top speed and increase your fuel consumption.
Would also throw out your speedo unless you also change the speedo drive.

if you leave the diff as 3.23 and change the gearbox, like when you convert to T5, does it still throw it out? I don't know where the speedo reading is taken from so I don't know if that would affect it or not.

The speedo reading is taken from a small cog in the extension housing on the gearbox. If the new gearbox doesn't have the same cog as the old one then you will need to change it.
They are very easy to do. Once you locate the speedo drive, undo the retaining screw and slide speedo drive out. On the end of this is a small plastic cog. Differant ones have a differant number of teeth.

Arguably through traffic the shorter ratio would reduce load in 1st hence decreasing fuel consumption around town, but increase fuel consumption on the higway though wouldn't it?
