have u ever noticed that on the ef-el's nf-nl's falcons and fairlanes that they're callipers on the front seem to b bigger then de rear. ne ideas for aftamarket brake upgrades and $$$ involved. i currently got dba gold series cross drilled and slotted discs at da front jus looking for a nicer set up to compliment them and improve my stopping power as its still lagging a lot.

They are larger on the front because most of the braking is supplied from the front, try stopping with just the handbrake and tell us what happens!

oops my bad, i mean the brakes at my front are a lot smaller then the brakes in my rear!!

What the!
You can geta fornt brake upgrade kit but you wont get much change from $2300, and this only upgrades it to teh el gt style setup. You need modified stub axels to fit teh callipers - thats where the cost is!

haha cheers nick yeh starnge hey!! have a look tho yourself at the brakes on fairlanes like mine. it was the first thing my mates and i pointed out that looked odd. yeh alright i will give him a talk to but i am in perth.

yeah i got an Nl
but i got slotted dba's and EBC pads on it, never compared teh two all the bias is at the front anyway you will go thru 3 sets of pads on the front before you change the rear pads

braking is a combined effort of the calipers, pads and discs

are you got me there just was having a converison with this guy i think he knows a bit about cars. he was saying the stopping power is more from the callipers?

reason why i am asking for this is because i have the dba gold as my discs and i have pretty good pads but the callipers i was just wondering is there a better combination for better braking or its fine if i just leave it because i am happy to leave my dba golds and pads but the callipers, they are just soooo... small

You cant just put new callipers on, there isnt any that will fit. Thats why the upgrade kits to dual pots are about 2.3G as they have to change your spindles(What the discs sit on etc) as they need new calliper mounting points for bigger discs etc
