I think a lot of the guys say they are necessary running under about 15 PSI. I got one, as i didn't want to use the Water Injection setup. I'm also not sure what Intake temps the other guys are getting, but i know with the cooler, i never see above 5-8 deg C above the ambient temp.
On the cold nights driving home you can noticably tell the difference, but that may be the same with the non-intercooled cars.

I do notice the difference on a cold night. I suspect you would notice it more with the cooler though.

I have water injection on mine.

As for the engineers certificate, I wouldn't have a clue where to get one over here. Im sure someone can point you in the right direction though.

Cold nights and mornings i definately noticed a different but i think that's typical for any forced induction setup.

I ran water injection, but had a switch to disable it - for example on cold nights... A fair bit of mucking around to get the spray level right... too much and it kills power (lol, had a few dyno operators scratching their head).

After seeing the prices on the capa website 6.3k for a powerdyne and 8k for a vortech it does seem a fair bit of dosh for a air pump.

I only paid 7k for my ef xr8 so i dont see the value.

So i'll get a set of diff gears and drive it around till the motor gets tired (only has 112 000 on the clock 8-) ) and save up for a stroker.

Thats it mate.
They aren't cheap for what they are.
s**t i got my EL XR8 for 16k over 2 years ago, which was cheap at the time, and have spent at least that on it modifying it.
With the Qindsor, you may be waiting a while for it to 'get tired'.
She'll probably still be running sweet at 400,000kms!

Haha, If the car is in good nick, and you don't try to sabotage it to try and kill it. Good luck otherwise! I've given mine a fair hiding quite often, and *touch wood* it hasn't given up on me yet.
They just love for you to get the right boot into them!

Lol, 112 thou on the clock you'd probably still see honing marks on the bore if you pulled the heads off.
