you can instal the clutch without an aligning tool, all the aligning tool does is keep it aligned while you mount it to the flywheel.
you need to buy the spiggot bearing seperate, they are only $8 or so. Without the tool, put the clutch on but leave the bolts fairly loose, and then using a screwdriver, centre the clutch plate in the pressure plate. Turn the motor to centre it at each opening in the pressure plate. Bolt it all up, double check it's centred, and then put the bell housing on (without gearbox) Connect the clutch cable etc Then get the gearbox up and slide the nose into the thrust bearing, it should pretty much slide in, if it wont, have a 2nd person go put their foot on the clutch while you wiggle the box in. |
