Hi, I managed to snap mine in half today (bloody trees ), and in trying to fix it managed to completley bugger it up, meaning i'm going to need a whole new unit (motor and antenna). Any idea how much these are from Ford? Or if i can get the same thing from an auto parts shop? (theres an Autonbahn, Burson and Repco in town, any of these places stock them?) And to change it I'm told you need to remove the plastic mudguard in the wheelarch, is this true?
Thanks in advance!

Ive been told they are expensive $100+ i would try www.ftgautosalvage.com.au (Fordmods sponsor) and yes the plastic skin does have to be removed.

i for got to say that you have to take out the gaurd liner and there is a grub screw on the antenna . undo it and it will come out .when putting the new one in turn on the power and put it into place and get some one to turn the power off so it will wind down . i hope this helps you out

Try and find genuine eh. The aftermarket ones don't look as good, chrome tip isn't as nice.

Thanks for all the help!
I went to ford to see how much for a whole new unit (the whole motor and all was broken, long story...) anywho $300 for a whole new unit! Ended up getting an Aerpro replacement from Burson, made the mistake of getting a fully automatic instead of a semi automatic, but fixed all that up and installed it today for $114

What did you do to it that stopped you from just replacing the mast?

I bought a aftermarket antenna mast for mine some time back. Unfortunately I can't remember what brand it was. Could very well have been Aerpro. The shop matched it for me when I took the ford mast in.
