my cousins ef needs new shocks, its completely stock.

the prices we have gotten so far are

monroes - $330
$110 ea front
$110 pair rear

and

gabriel - $248
$89 ea front
$70 pair rear

my question is are the monroes worth the extra $50 or are they both pretty similar considering its for a stock car.

p.s. did a search got only 2 clear post one sid they didn't like em the other said they were ok.

thanks

Personally i would keep away from Gabriel. They are made in the US, and made to suit US conditions. I have been told they offer a softer ride, then shocks made here in Australia.

Anyway, i am sure others have different opinions, so just keep and eye out.

Hey, what type if you don't mind me asking? Would they suit my Pedder's sports rider springs?

i did a bit of research on this recently and managed to get all the codes and rough price guide for all the models that fit EF's including lowered and what not so you have idea of what their worth. If you do a search for topics about suspensions and those written by myself you should find it.

To answer your question, i'd go the gabriels over the monroes without a hesitation. The monroes tend to give a stiff ride so you end up feeling ever bloody bump anyway. Incidently i got the KYB's.

Hope this helps
