Could someone tell me where the Body control module on a 92 fairlane is.

IIRC behind the dash above the hand brake handle - smartlock module will be next to it (where fitted).

are you after the BCM or the Smartlock module?
The BCM is a bit tight to get at, look up under the dash for the green box and you'll see what i mean 
The Smartlock module is above the handbrake
