hey guys
i have recently purchased a quick shift module for my 1996 Ef Falcon. Today i changed the small switch for a bigger missile switch-type switch. i went to start the car and it would start, not even turn over. I didnt dis-connect the battery when i installed the switch and dont know if this was the problem. ALL fuses where checked and no damage was observed. After it was seen that the missile switch didnt work, i changed it bak to the old switch and still nothing. if anyone has any ideas or suugestions, pleeze dont hesitate to conntact me on fordfan_josh27@hotmail.com thanks guys |

hey, and welcome to the forums mate
just a quick thing to check - and im sure its probably ok anyway, but make sure it is in either park or neutral the amount of times ive done this, thinking something major was wrong....and it turned out ive nudged the stick.....so many times! just a quick check

yeah try both park and neutral.. can't be anything to do with the switch because the car would still start.
If the wiring or the switch were a problem your car would start, but would only let you drive it in 3rd gear (limp home mode) |

I take it everything worked fine, after the install, but before you changed teh switches.

shift kit swicth is a 2 position switch with a common centre poll ie has 3 wires goinf to 3 poles or points on the switch i bet your missle switch is a on/off swicth u need to find out what wires go were on the orig switch

yer mate, all the wires were connected to the rite poles on the switch
car was in park gettin my mate to come and have a quick quize 2moro thanks for all ur posts appriciate it laters guys and thanks |

not to harp on about it, but try moving it to neutral and giving it a go there. my selector switch died one day and it wouldnt start in park...only started in neutral
it could just be really screwed up coincidence it died on the same day.....
