Where are they best to mount, are there pods that can be used with out too much trouble or can they be mounted in the factory holes??

Pics of other set ups would be a big help.

Thanks.

pioneer splits mount straight in the factory holes

as for the tweeters, either mount them at the base of the windscreen like the originals, or mount them on the delta panel at the base of the A pillars, either on the door or the A pillar itself

the doors and therefor speaker install is basically the same in eb-l, which also includes the n series.

for all intents and purposes, the doors are the same

Well part of the install is the door trims and as apposed to the ef-el the door trim in the nc only has a hole of about 3 inche's to fit a 6.5" woofer behind it, so do i mount the driver on the outside of the door trim or is there a way of mounting it behind the door trim with out blocking half of the woofer??

This reason is why i specified an nc, i would like to mount it behind the door trim away from thieves.

Yeah you have series 1 and from what I've read they only have 4inch holes so they won't fit unless you do some work. Can't help you further.

yes
series 2 door trims have a " grill
or you could just get the speaker grills from an eb/d gli, and retrofit them into your nc series 1

the actual doors are different. i dont believe different trims will help you all that much

How big are the grills on a s2, my s1 has grills just there not big enough to put a whole 6.5" driver behind it.

seems like im going to have to mount them on the outside of the door trim.
