Just looking at daniels FTB and comparing it with the EF fairmonts, the grill although only minor differnce, loks alot bettter! Would it be simple to put an FTB grille into the fairmont? But then, i guess the hard part is finding the FTB grille?

FBT is actually how its spelt!

the grille is over 1k retail from ford
it cost me and arm and a leg and i got employee price

if you have an ef fairmont surround you can use that but you need to drill some holes to mount the mesh

considering the cost of a genuine FBT grille, and considering that if you DIY, nobody other than yourself and other FBT fanatics will know, is it worth the cost of going genuine?

Its a fkn nice grille - but honestly not worth the $$$ lol!
To prove i actually support my words; when i had my sportsman i loved the fbt grille and it would look horn on the car/colour, but the cost wasnt practical and i cbf making one myself.

Now that ive said that, the look of nf,nl,dl grilles makes me violently ill, you notice how bad they are when you get rid of em.

I'd say you got stung Nick

I priced the MESH insert at David Nutter Ford late last year = $411

the surround could be raped from any wrecked EF Fairmont

Still pricey nonetheless
