Hello boys and girls,

I just bought a set of BA XR8 Premium wheels and as a result need to lower the ed.

Ive got king lows all round and im stumped on how to lower the front without spring compressors.

If anyone has ideas or proven solutions (other than buying spring compressors) that'd be great, or if anyone lives around carrum downs / frankston area who has compressors and would like to help, cash or booze would be provided.

spring compressors=ILLEGAL

if you want to go lower, get a set of superlows and shorter shocks

did u want to use the spring compressors to install a new one into ur car? cause thats what i thought they were used for....but thats me. if the spring compressor is only there to hold the springs in for the mean time while u put all the bolts in then just make one. get 2 pieces of wood. a long thread and bolts and u have ur own spring compressor. even though this has never been tested by me......i do not guarantee it will work.

phong =P~

not those s**t ones you find on ebay, those lowering blocks or whatever.

I want spring compressors so i can put new springs in, and i was told theyre about $70, and im not paying $70 for something ill only use once, the bloody springs only cost that much.

Dont put lowered springs in the front of Ea to ED falcons , they have F**K all suspension travel as it is in stock form so lowering them just makes it worse.
In my wifes ED i have lowerd springs and shocks on the back with standard springs on the front But i have Pedders lowered shocks on it they have a short stroke and pull the front down to a nice low level.
The ride is the same as stock and looks good with a set of 17s.
But i have small kids so at the moment ride is better than looks on the family car , as for the XM well shes as low as u can get and a bit more.
