yea, i'm after something that even the most anal of car geeks wont spot the difference on..... i figure X's painted to match the stock heads wont look any different, and wont give the game away thay the engine isnt as it appears....

q: will roller rockers fit under the stock rocker covers?

They are 1.7s too Interceptor, keep that in mind when shopping for a cam if you are keeping the stock rockers.

They all have roller lifters...you should invest in a factory workshop manual Interceptor. Camshaft is a little different to the stock 5.0HO too.
BTW if you want to go with stud mount rockers you'll need to machine any of the gt40 heads for it. Of course Yella Terra Platinum shaft rockers are a good choice without the need for machine work or guide plates or hardened push rods.

Those T-Series cars, that had alloy heads, ran the SVO GT40 Y303 heads aka GT-40Y.

They flow pretty much the same as the modified GT40P (iron) heads that where on the 220kw XR8s and 250kw T3 strokers...

the T3 came out with a worked cast iron head , 9.6:1 compression ratio.

does this mean the EB GT's and ED XR8 Sprints with the GT40 heads need the PH4001's? or are the PH4001's AU specific?


the 4001 don't fit on the E's something to do with power steering box, the sprints and the GT's were a special made header
