in the process of fixing it i noticed that my ea has a problem with the firewall cracking around tha cluch cable.
it has been welded once already and its starting to crack again..
i read in another post that ford sell a reinforcement plate or something like that does anyone have a pic or part number??
also read that the x series had a bolt on plate can anyone confirm this??
or have any pics..

hey mate im not sure about the clip giving way but i can advise you on the firewall cracking. my eb has done the same thing with the clutch cable. my uncle is helping me this weekend to make up a plate (just any metal that wont bend) to weld over the hole. it'll proberly be about 8 cm wide and just however tall will fit. then drill a hole through the plate for the clutch cable to go through. bugger paying money to buy the same kinda thing when you can just make it up yourself!!

cheers
Braden
