pull the fuse!

for a full cure, try a good auto electrician, ford arent allways the best ppl to go to..... m8 has an EF, has had an airbag light on for the last 2 years, it's been into ford several times, no fix....... a day at an auto electrician, and no more light..... and yes, the fuse is still in there.... lol

turns out it was a dodgy sensor and a bad earth

Before pulling the fuse on the thing, try using the airbag diagnostics to see what the problem is.....

Sometimes its as simple as the airbag connectors on the steering wheel boss not being fitted correctly....

Try this link
http://www.fordmods.com/phpBB2/documents.php?doc=3
(I know that one important image is not working... I will try to fix that one up soon !)

Have a read through, if the problem is easy to fix, then it might be worthwhile having a go !

yeah mine came on awhile ago, kept commin on and off, had to have it reset at ford, but that was due to the airbag computer frying

i had the airbag light come on in my EF. turns out it was a fault code left over from a low voltage issue with my old battery.
had all the fault codes cleared, fuse replaced and she's been fine ever since (touch wood)

I fixed the image up on the Doco....
So NOW it should be a bit easier to tell which pin you need to short out for the Airbag test.

Lemme know if there is anything else missing in the doco !

Cheers
Matti
