sorry to be the noob asking this but could someone please tell me the difference between the stage 1, 2 and 3 cams? im assuming it has something to do with other mods and peformance, as they cost the same?

the lift and duration are all different, the higher the number the longer the valves stay open and how far they open. once u start going past st2 or so u will prolly need stronger valve springs

depends on what company makes the said cams, as some companies stg 1 cams are equive to other companies stg 2 or 3 cams.
but general rule, if in same company what regie said is true. |

First, ignore anyone who talks about stage X cams. You cant tell anything about a cam by what stage someone claims it to be.
The cam largely determines your engines behaviour so you have to know what you want if you want to be happy. So, auto/manual, do you want low end torque, midrange, top end power, what mods do you have and what will you be doing, what kind of idle quality do you want, etc

that said by stockstandard.. get an RPD RSpec stage3 with stronger valve springs
