Hi every1
i own a 1996 EFII falcon and i am looking at doing some cosmetic and peformance mods on the old girl. im looking at extractors (which these which is hte best for low end gains like off the line cuz mine its auto its a slug off hte line) and exhaust (2.5" mandrel bent without rear res) and which k&n panel filter fits my car, i went into my local repco and it has them in there but theres no model references or anything. My friend said he can get it cheap (i have no idea how) but yeah i need the part number. Also i was looking at lowering blocks just in the downtime between getting actual lowered springs. Are these bad, can i use these instead of getting custom springs. I know theres probably heaps of threads on this already but yeah any input is greatly apprecieated. Thanks alot people |

Your EF will have coil springs front and back. Therefore you cant use lowering blocks on them.Your better off getting short travel shocks and lowered springs.

The wagons, utes and vans had leaf springs so they could carry loads. Blocks work by sitting in between the top of the leaf and the bottom of the diff. Afraid the only wa yu r lowering ya ride is the right way!

They're for wagon and ute rear leaf springs. They lift the diff up higher than the springs thus lowering the vehicle.

Patty wrote: ah ok Lowering blocks are for leaf springs, the coil spring clamps are use to lower the hieght of the car by compressing the spring. you need to buy shorter shocks to match the spring hieght. they can be dangerous if you lower it to much, as if you cut the springs down.
