got a real problem my ltd diff has packed it in and the only diff can get my hands on is 3.08 diff the problem is that i have a aluminuam tail shaft and the diff is set up for a steal tailshaft, dont want to change the yoak on the diff, and not sure about welding pins on the u clamps on the tail shaft as worried about unbalencing the tail shaft can anyone come up with a better solution.

Keep looking. You should be able to come accross the right diff, plenty of good wreckers in melbourne. Otherwise, just get the tail shaft with it (make sure its the right lenght though).

yes thanks we cant get the other tailshaft as the ltd all came out with aluminum so we have had to chase the same diff.

so whats is wrong with the diff? being a lane i presume it has a 3.23 lsd?
why not ge it recoed?

the diff that was in her has been recod before and my bloke hates the whine, and no the only diff he could get was a 3.08 but i have now located a 3.23 for $300.00 so thats fine with me.
