hi
my coolent loss has now started again and i noticed a small amount of coolent on the pass side carpet in my 1998 fairmont.how hard is it to get the heater in and out cheers jimg |

It was a day job when I did it in the EB. From memory you can get it out without completely removing the dash or many wires, but its a bit of a squeeze. I used a haynes manual for all the info, but the airbox is bolted onto the dash from the firewall side by a handfull of nuts and can be slightly difficult to reach all of them. As for the dash, just remove as much as you need to get it out the passenger side. Heres a few pics to see what you're in for!
It can be comfortably done over a weekend. I removed mine to change the AC core.

Bet you wont be wearin those shoes down here in vic lol. Had to do the heater core in my old ZJ. It was so bad i used it for a sprinkler
