I hope this is in the rightt area..It's the first time I've posted here.
I have an el saphire 5.0 litre wagon diff ratio 3.23 after doing my maths It looks like I might be able to go from my standard alloy wheels 15" with 205 and profile of 65 to 17" 235 profile 50 without too much difficulty. although I do some towing, I think it wiould probably be only a slight difference under load. The catch is - Will they physically fit. I was told that the offset on my originall wheels is probably 6p or 6 poaitive ??? My worry is that when I look under the front I dont have a lot of room between the inside of the tyre and the kingpin (may not be correct terminology) I suppose my questions' are - Can I do this and if so do I need to specify an offset on the wheel. If so what offset do I need. Thanks for any help Reg |

Gday mate, i have the same diff ratio and went from 15's to 17s and the speedo is 100% correct if anything only 1km out.
being an el, when you order your wheels just say its an el and if they are any sort of decent wheel shop they will be able to look it up for you. |

Thanks for that - It's good to know someone has done something similar.
It kind of puts my mind at rest. I don't want to spend the cash and then find out I was wrong. Reg |
