yep cos in thier wisdom they put a chain rail on the inside of the timing cover which cuts across the corner of the sump. if u dont drop the sump the rail drops in when u remove the cover and u'll never get the cover back on with the rail in place

yeah, u need to back off the sump bolts so you can get about 10-20mm drop at the front of the sump.

ok guys well its done now but yet my luck , there is oil leaking on the water pump!!! i think it may be comin from the chain tensioner where it threads into the timing cover? does anyone know if there is any washer or seal thats sposed to be on there?

a definite pain in the hole to do in the car and you will be annoyed if you go thru all that and dont get a good seal
