Hey guys.
Another annoying problem and thats my oil pressure seems to fluctuate from a normal reading to high and when in summer ,it will go down to low and start to alarm on my I6vct fairlane.
ford had installed a new sender unit but didnt seem to fix the problem .
i thought it might be the oil viscosity.
Ford use 15w-30w on services.some say theres too much sealant on the senders sealing threads!
Any ideas or anyone had this problem before?

sorry to hijack......but since we are on the topic of oil senders/gauge.......when i start my car when its cold the needle on the gauge stays close to the top even in idle. until the car gets warm and then the needle slowly goes down from the top.....and when i rev it goes up again (normal im guessing).

im doing 60 k's (at operating temp) and then it rises up slowly to hi and then comes back down and settles approx mid scale.
I will try disco franks idea and see what happens as well.
When in summer(hot day) when she goes off on low (and yep theres plenty of brown stuff in there)it will alarm on low pressure when idling at the lights.
