I've just got a new central locking system to replace the EF one with ($20 from autobarn so cant complain) but, im having a hard time following the doco...Can I just hook up the white and brown wires to the lock and unlock wires in the BCM, and then just use the wiring harness that came with the kit to run to all the doors? And do I join the white and brown ones on straight from the BCM, so as soon as the signal comes out it goes into the new kit, and disregards the original one? ..It's more work I know, but I am finding it a bit hard to follow the doco, maybe its just me...

Ok.

I cant remember exactly but here goes and you can also PM me about it later to make sure.

There are the locking wires. IIRC they are green and blue? These wires go to ALL doors.

Then there are the 2 wires that are ones that go to the master locks. Cant remember what colours these are.

On the BEM it asks you to cut 2 wires. On the BEM side of the wires u have just cut, you splice the 2 master wires into this. The problem with this i had was that the doco was the wrong way around.

On the other side of the loom you can hook the blue green wires to for the locks to each of the doors.

Now that all the BEM side of things are done you can wire up the new locks to the existing wires in the car.


Ill get back to you with EXACTLY what i did and WHY i did it.

But atleast this can get you started. I am also re doing the doco because its full of errors and has really bad grammer.
