Hi guys, just wondering if I could swap my XF 6cyl diff to a XH xr8 or a 5L wagon. Possibly the au ute. My diff has s**t itself and my tailshaft is out by 4mm towards the back end.was looking to replace both.

what do you mean your tailshaft is out by 4mm???
the diffs were the same on leaf sprung falcons pretty much from XW-XY's onwards, but small s**t like brakes, etc changed over the years AU diffs might be a lil different tho

Tailshaft is unbalanced.If you put a micrometre against the side of the shaft and rotate it , I get a difference of 4mm on mine. Creates a very nasty vibration and destroys uni joints.

i know XH ute diff housings are same as XD sedan housings, cept XH utes had rear disc brakes
