8 laps from the flag, in 5th place and closing down button to finish 4th and then another engine failure. apparently williams are doing all they can to keep him but you would think he must be starting to look at his options for next year.

ferrari are closing in fast on renault too. schuey only 11 points down on alonso and on current form you'd nearly have to back schuey from here. they were just cruising home from about the 1st pitstop on. bad luck for kimi although he got back to third and probably wouldn't have done any better than that anyway.

is it coincidence that renault don't use the controvertial mass dampers and then have poor form?

looking like good end to season anyway

It'd be nice to see webber in a good car. Move on Mark.

he has had rough season this one,
its obvious he can drive as he has had some good places up until mechanical failure

None teh less williams have signed toyota on for a 3 year engine deal from next season!

Is this the end of cosworth in f1???

Considering how well cosworth started the year, I hope not. Lets hope they bounce back.

Although the fixed engine rule for 2008 sounds like a bad idea IMHO.

toyota currently supply midland i think so there could be an opening there for cosworth.

froudey - have a look where mark qualifies and finishes (when he does) in relation to his team mate. more often than not he is quite a few places in front. he is always punching above his weight and he deserves a seat in a decent car so he can have the opportunity to show what he has got. also people expect results straight away. it doesn't happen like that. takes a bit of time to get used to the car esp. if you change teams. look at rubens this year. took half the season to get on top of the honda.

having said all that i reckon he could be destined to be another jenson button/tim henman type person. always up around the top but can't ever reach the very top.

Webber can drive otherwise he just would not be there. He'll he would not have even driven at Le mans before F1 if he could not drive. They say that theres a few seconds lap time difference in F1 between the worst car and the best car on the grid and that's with the best driver in both. Plonk him in a ferrari and see what happens then.
