Don't do it guys, a car isn't worth the image you think you're going to have.
How many BA's do you see now? More common than EF's.
Just letting us know your bro bought one.... i wouldn't let you know if i bought one, let alone my bro lol.
If i bought a Typhoon then i might post it.

as some one who employs apprentices there is nothing worse than an apprentice with a s**t car that cant make it too work, thats costs me money. Good on your brother at least he will make it to work on time. It was the first thing I did as an apprentice and I urge all my new apprentices to do the same.

Realise that, Just making a point that if you do most job's well and are good with managing a business, you can turn something like being a panel beater in to a Million dollar operation and do F**king well for yourself along the way.

I was just letting every1 know that he got it to see what everyone thought of the price and so on.
My bro is one lucky son of a b**ch cos he gets paid a s**t load for a 2nd yr apprentice!!! I mena yea he does work most saturdays and from 7-3 onwards everyday during the working week but for the hours he still gets made a*** money. I was thinking i might follow his foot steps and maybe try and get a job with his compony.

I was just posting for every1's opinions!

Cheers
Griffo

My mate works for CSR redaymix on the phone and he bought himself a BAII XR8 off the showroom floor. All that matters to this guy is the money. He only earns around 45k a year but he f**k blows the lot on s**t that shows that he has money. 12 months on he's still saving for a flash tuner. Now either they are really expensive (he reckons about 1500 bucks) or he couldn't scrape 10 cents together if he tried. A mate of mine told me he borrowed the lot for his car.

My old man brought me up with the premise that I do not buy a car worth more then a years worth of my current wage, that to me sounds reasonable as if your a good saver you can get a decent car in next to no time. In the grand scheme of thigs a year is f**k all.

I had another mate pack his sales job at holden in a few years ago cause he couldn't live with himself approoving a loan to some 18-22 year old kid for a brand new SS or mallo ute knowing full well that the kid would not be able to pay it off comfortably. You just can't play daddy to people you don't know, hell and even some you do. If they want a car hard enough they don't give a s**t about a few years time. They want it now.

Yeah why not get a 40k loan, car is worth 20k after 2 years, still owe 30k lol... i've seen it happen too many times.

You can buy a decent car without spending 30k, and who says the new car wont break down and leave you stranded?

hmm i had this dilemma last year - wanted a BA but there is just no point - would have been paying it off for the next 7 years! In the end - an XHII V8 and I am paying it off faster than it depreciates - the tax deductions I get for it are higher than what it costs me, and it's still a 3 yr loan!
