How much do gas fitters usually charge to put a gas system in?

some arn't interested in using second hand parts, as a. they don't make extra money selling you new ones and b. sometimes they don't work, they can't warrenty it, and might end up being an argument between customer and mechanic about weather it's the parts or the mechanic. with that said many are. varies depending on how much work is already done - alot of the stuff you can easily do yourself, then jsut take it to them to certify it, run the lines (as illegal to do yourself) and tune it all up nice for you! depends on the vehicle and type of system as some are more complicated than others too.

12 months ago you could get it for around $1500 here, now around $2500.
Down here you're not actually allowed to install your own system, it has to be done by a licenced LPG installer... i'm doing mine this week then my mate will install the line and check it over and throw on a compliance plate because he knows i'm competent.
I'd be checking the regulations before attempting it if i were you.

Yeah i was gonna ring up and find out if a gas installer will allow it if i installed the tank and converter then he did the smallish little crap e.g. the copper lins and all that.

$500 for gas here. Is that with all the fitting for an EF?

Ill have a look around to see if there is anything in adelaide.
